The beginning of the end.

Finally,I start my first blog. First of all, I want to inform that this page may have some gramatical errors. But, I'll try my best. :)
Okay, I'll talk a little about my life. Actually, I enjoy my life lately. After my heart has been broken by someone, I started to make myself busy about SEALNet program (I'll tell you more later). Also, I am starting to forgive anyone whoever has hurt me, hanging out, having fun, and stopping to worry about things that are useless.
At the beginning of my holiday, I prepared myself for my university exam which is known as SNMPTN in Indonesia. It took a month time. I thought I have to make an effort so that I can enter a good university later. Yeah, I had done my best.
After spending a whole stressing month, I had my real holiday. One of my classmate offered me a holiday activity, SEALNet. At first, I didn't know what SEALNet is. Then, at 2nd june I attended my first workshop which was the second workshop of SEALNet Medan 2011. It gave me a great impression about that program. It taught me how to be a leader. It taught me to be have enough courage to speak in front of people you didn't know. But, the most amazing thing happened when we're in groups, having chit chat which is called mentor-mentee time. My mentor was from KL, and is now studying in Berkeley university, named Brian Wong. He is so warm hearted, kind, easy-going and quite good looking. He shared a lot about his life in US, experiences, and taught us to have fun. he-he-he. Okay, beside him, there are still a lot of mentors. All of them are so amazing. They're studying in great universities in US. I knew a different life from them. They are not nerd anyway. They always have fun.
And now they've left us. Some of them are having their internship, while some of them are having their vacation.
The program taught me how to love life, to dream big, to appreciate friendships and any opportunities. We went to orphanages to teach the children the importance of sanitation and hygine. Beside that, we had to give the children chance to dream big. I realized that the orphans are strong enough to face their life. We have a greater life than they do. The most memorable dialogue is : "I feel jealous of SEALNet members, although some of them are younger but their educations are much wider than mine. But still, I want to try my best, I want to have a better future for me, myself and for kids like me. I want to be a teacher." It touched me till I couldn't hold my tears. And then 2 of our mentors, Sinseanne and Senna, gave them a hug. Although it's a simple hug, but i knew that the hug contained love, motivation and hope to keep their dreams high. It's tiring, but we had a lot of fun.
I think I have great experiences with SEALNet. I wish i could be a SEALNet member forever.
With that kind of activity, I learned to open up and take everthing as easy as possible.
I'll continue some more in the next post. :)
